The county of Wicklow, not too far away from the city of Dublin is known as the "Garden of Ireland".... and you'll soon see why from the pics I've taken of my short trip. The dominant feature in this region must definitely be the Wicklow Mountains and its foothills; the highest summit being Lugnaquillia (926 m/3039 ft). The county of Wicklow boasts of many interesting ruins, especially at Glendalough. Bray is a lovely seaside resort town in the county... and finally, the town of Wicklow is the county town. Why don't you come with me as we explore the rich variety that Wicklow has to offer - its wooded valleys, ice-carved glens and heather clad moorland. |
