SUL TRENO CHE VIAGGIA AL PARADISO = PISA!

On The Train That Travels To Paradise - PISA!

The town of Pisa (from the Baptistry)
"Salve Pisa!" as we arrived in the beautiful Italian town of Pisa and its most famous monument - The Leaning Tower.

PISA's most revered monument is definitely the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The city seems to bubble with pride not only for its tilting-to-one-side tower but also for its unsurpassable Duomo.
Il Duomo

PISA - Una Citta' Indimenticabile

The dazzling Duomo is choke full of great art works - including Giovanni Pisano's intricate pulpit and its burlesque Gothic reliefs. You must see it personally to know what I truly mean. It is widely believed that the swinging motions of the lamp over the center aisle (inside the Duomo) supposedly sparked Galileo's amazing discovery of the pendulum motion some hundreds of years ago. Sorry, can't remember the date (I must have been sleeping in class)!

Today, Pisa subsists largely on the daily tide of tourists from all over the world who come specifically to oogle at the tipping tower - which is now closed to the public.

If visiting Florence is in your travel agenda, then DON'T ever give Pisa a miss. It is after all only an hour's train ride from the city of Florence. Alternatively, I'm sure you can sign up for one of those day excursions from Florence. So you may wish to check it out when you're there.

The other is as though everything is a miracle."

Pros:"If a city's resident monument is the world famous "Leaning Tower of Pisa", that city will forever be featured in the world map. The Tower is a MUST, MUST, MUST-see attraction for all tourists visiting Italy!"
Cons:"Are you crazy?"
In A Nutshell:"Time seems to stand still for Pisa. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is and will always be a "must-see" for every visitor to the city."
