Welcome to GOLD COAST, one of the most inexpensive playgrounds in this world to chill out and have loads of fun without burning a huge hole in your pocket! ;-) Better still if you're going with like-minded friends who'd make your stay here...absolutely heavenly. |
|  | My best friend and I planned this trip at the last minute (sigh... what's new huh?) since we didn't want to stay behind in Singapore for the Christmas/ New Year holidays. Booked a flight on Qantas, packed our bags and off we went on Christmas Day (after we had a wonderful partying with our friends on Christmas Eve). Oh yes, we also pre-booked our lovely casino hotel on Broadbeach in the Gold Coast before we left for Australia. Hey, it's Christmas week and Queensland's packed with holiday makers. Better be safe than sorry. |

Footnote: This travel page is written from impressions taken off my first visit to Down Under's most famous playground - Gold Coast & the Surfers Paradise in the mid-1990s.
I have since visited this place 3 times over the years. (Singapore is only 6 hours away from Queensland, you see). However, the travel tips that you'd be reading will be penned from my latest visit. So, fear not, mates. ;-)) It won't contain "medieval" tips! I hope you'll find my experiences useful in helping you plan for your forthcoming holiday.
