| The Magical City of Paris!! |
Grandeur, nouvelle cuisine, fashion and the good things in life - France comprises an extraordinary mosaic of tiny quaint villages, walled medieval cities, topless beaches (relax, guys) and ah.... sophisticated gay PARIS.
Art lovers conquer the Louvre and Orsay; the frivolous flock to the Moulin Rouge; the young-at-heart feel at home in Paris Disneyland; the devout congregate at the Notre Dame... and the sophisticates search out the BEST restaurants for nouvelle cuisine here in Paris. |
| Most exciting avenue in the world - Champs Elysees |
| | Yes, Paris has EVERYTHING to intrigue and offer a first time visitor at ALL seasons. Style and sophistication give a special sparkle to an otherwise boring everyday life here. Yes, even the simplest clothes are worn with great flair (more on that later...). Always keen on the good things in life, the French gave the world a certain idea of restaurants and fashion. Why, haven't you heard? They discovered the BIKINI! ;-)
It is often said that the fun only begins after midnight in Paris. And how true it is!
Coming to Paris is like having your deepest dream fulfilled. I dressed like them; talked eloquently like a well-bred lady (like them) and armed myself with a mega-watt smile. Yes, like them.
I recalled the first time I saw Parisian women wearing Chanel inspired outfits underneath their colorful trenchcoats...I was riveted! I mean, how can anyone dress as well as them? How can normal silk fabric fall oh-so-gracefully on their bodies like that?? And how can ordinary people stand in line to buy French loaves at the patisserie, all the while looking as if they are dressing up for a major fashion shoot? To me, it seems that this is how the Parisian women introduce themselves....sending out a distinct message that reads: "I'm confident, smart, witty and aware. I'm cool and for a good reason too; you can approach me if you do so intelligently....; and it would not be a good idea to mess around with me!" |
How these Parisian women dress seem inseparable from how they walk, communicate, cook and think. One noticeable quality seems to shine through - deep self assurance. Simply divine. I can't wait to pick up more dressing tips from these classy Parisian women.
NOTE: For an indepth look at Paris, please refer to my PARIS Travelogue section. It'd basically focus on my previous visit(s) to Paris. I've also added a section on:
- The most famous paintings housed in the Louvre Museum;
- Dining and fun at Montmarte...
- And well, basically on most other things that I didn't have a chance to focus on in this main section.
So, enjoy!

| Pros: | "Yves St Laurent, Christian Dior, Rive Gauche... 'Tis a city for Francophiles & all tourists who enjoy culture, good food & great shopping!" | | Cons: | "A very, very, very expensive city to shop/ live in (where's Roman Abramovich - the richest man in the world below 40 years old! - when you need him)... ;-(" | | In A Nutshell: | "Paris is definitely the most beautiful city in the world that I've visited. If I have a choice, I'll live here! ;-)" |
