Fondest memory: Buddhism is the main religion here in Thailand. And it is no surprise that wherever I go, whichever street corner I turned to - temples, temples and more temples greeted me! Every household also seems to have this miniature spiritual house planted just outside their main door. I don't know what is the exact name for this... maybe someone can let me know?

It is a major riverside landmark and a religious shrine. The chief attraction here would most certainly be the magnificent 74 meter high <b>Phra Pang tower</b>. Decorated with glazed ceramic pieces, the temple literally shimmers in the sun.

The best way to conquer Wat Arun is to hire a boat from the <b>Tha Tien pier</b> near the Grand Palace.

Favorite thing: stay at the ALL SUITE <b><u>Westin Banyan Tree Resort Hotel</b></u>. It's one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Really value for money considering that this is an all-suite hotel.

Fondest memory: An amazing replica of the famed <b><u>Angkok Wat</u></b> can be found inside the <b><u>Grand Palace</b></u>. Breathtaking!

buy something (ANYTHING!) ... Floating Market Review

Favorite thing: buy something (ANYTHING!) from Bangkok's famed <u><b>Damnoen Saduak Floating Market</b></u> located in the <b>Ratchaburi province</b>.

The Thais have indeed brought grocery/ produce shopping to new heights!!! There are early-morning tours which depart from <b>Tha Chang landing place</b>, near the Grand Palace. So, if you're interested, get more details from your hotel concierge.

Fondest memory: Being on the SAME PLANE as the legendary <b><u>DAVID BOWIE</u></b>!!! Yes, that's him in the photo - taken at <b>Bangkok's Don Muang Airport</b>. <i>Swoon....</i> I've ALWAYS loved his music eversince I was a little girl! (Oh... incidentally, that little boy standing next to <b>David Bowie</b> is my little cousin).
