| The most famous temple in Bangkok... |
Visiting BANGKOK is like having my deepest dream come true. I didn't come here for the spiritual experience (like most others) but came here for the shopping and sightseeing experience instead. Both trips that I'd be mentioning here - planned at the eleventh hour - was FUN and exciting, to say the least. We came at a time when the Thai Baht was at one of its lowest.
Managed to stay at one of the best hotels here, used the limousine as our airport transfer, dined at the best restaurants and eateries and shopped till we literally had to stagger back to our hotel room.... At the last count, we didn't even exceed our original planned budget. Mind you, the prices I've quoted above are to be borne by the 3 of us (and i haven't even divided them into 3 portions yet). |

| | Have I now convinced you how cheap it is to enjoy Bangkok? Jot it down and make it YOUR next holiday destination.
So, ladies and gentlemen, may I now have the pleasure of introducing you to one of the most beautiful countries here in South Asia - Thailand and its capital city, Bangkok. Befitting the name Thai, which means 'free', Thailand is the only country in South-East Asia NEVER to have been colonized by a western power.
I'm sure you'd enjoy Bangkok as much as I did! |

Footnote: This travel page is written from my very first impressions of this beautiful city on my first visits in 1998, 2000 and 2001. Bangkok has since become a regular weekend destination for me when I need to get far away from the maddening crowd (the spa facilities is heavenly in this country!). I hope you'll find my experiences useful in helping you plan for your forthcoming holiday. Thank you.
