I went on a trek with Wayoutback Tours and it was fantastic!
For 3 days, leaving from Alice Springs, we saw Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) & Kings Canyon. We slept under the stars in swags and hit the unpaved roads whenever we could.
Pros and Cons
- Pros:Great picture opportunities! Helpful locals.
- Cons:lots of tour options (like any tourist place) - stick with West Macdonnells and 3 day trips to Uluru area.
- In a nutshell:Not as flat as you think!
