I've been several times in Istanbul. I don't know why... It has to do with the people, the history, the music, the smells...
So many things to do here... Give your self at least 5 full days to explore this amazing city and then return again! :) |

-Topkapi Palace / Dolmabace Palace
-Boat tour in the bosphorus
-talk to friendly people (beyond markets)
-eat perfect food / sweets / drink turkish coffee
-Turk & Islamic Arts museum / Textile museum / archeologic museum
-Suleymaniye Camii mosque / Kariye Camii (Chora)
-Grand Bazaar / Spice(Egyptian)Bazaar |
Do some more: -take a photo of Galata Tower from the bridge at sunset
-take a Ferry ride to Princes Islands
-smoke a nargile(water pipe) or buy one as a souvenir!
-go for a turkish bath in a hamam
-visit Miniaturk
-Rumeli Hisari(Fortress of Europe)
-walk at Fener area
-take the boat to Kadikoy and Uskudar, two districts at the Asian side
-don't go early to bed! The nightlife is great here! Istiklal is waiting for you for beers and yeni raki! :) | | |
