The best lokums in Istanbul as suggested by a local friend. We tried some here but you can also find a sister store at Istiklal No:129 but also at Eminonu.

They supposed to open the first store back in 1777 which means this is one of the oldest trademarks! In our days they even export their products outside Turkey way down to Japan and New Zealand!

Inside the store if you manage to take your eyes away from the lokums you will see a lot of signs that refer to the awards that they won over the years since the beginning of 19th century!

They specialize on the famous Turkish delight of course which is the lokum. It was produced in Turkey since the 15th century. At Haci Bekir you can find the lokum in many different great flavors (plain, rose, pistachio, hazelnut, walnut, almond, coconut, cream with cinnamon, mint, mastic, fruit, ginger, clove and coffee and so many others. They are available in boxes of 200, 250, 325, 500, 1000 and 5000gr

They also have caramel candys, nut pastes(with various fruits and nuts), halva(famous dessert in Balkan countries, usually with sugar syrup and sesame oil) but also biscuits, cakes, jellies and sherbets!
