On a lazy afternoon, with nowhere to go (yet), I joined the Salzach River Cruise. Nothing spectacular about it, just a ride up and down the river. But at the end of the cruise, passengers are in for a surprise when the ship's captain makes the boat do a waltz on the river for about 5-10 minutes with the music of Strauss in the background. |

| | Church Bells Still Ring in Old Salzburg Every hour or so, bells from different steeples would ring out the time, summoning people to church or signaling the end of a service. Some people might have felt affected by the "noise" but I just loved the pealing of the bells. One would answer another and they would seem to "sing" together. Reminds me of a nursery rhyme about the bells of certain churches but I can't memorize it now. |
