"Offenbach" a Offenbach Travel Page by tayloretc

I can’t say much about Offenbach, and I’m sorry for it – it looked like a nice enough place. But, I was only here to see a concert, so this page really only exists to give a review of the hotel. I supose the lack of VT info is to be expected for a small town in the shadow of Frankfurt.

What I can comment on – the town center was a comfortable jumble of western-world shopping; the train station was efficient and the ticket guy apologized profusely when he could only give me a reservation in a smoking car; the bits of town I saw were quiet and looked pleasant and livable; and the Capitol concert hall was very cool (a converted synagogue with good acoustics and some raised areas for us short people). If you’re coming in for an event and want to spend anything less than a small fortune, book your accommodation well in advance.
