"Radozda" Radozda by tayloretc

Radozda is a small village on the western side of Lake Ohrid, about a mile from the Albanian border. The few people who come here do so for a quick visit to the cave church of Archangel Saint Michael and a meal of fresh Ohrid trout at one of the several small restaurants by the water. If they stay a little longer, maybe to see a fragment of the Via Egnatia, a little above the town, or the smaller cave church of Saint Atanas nearby. Other than that, there’s not much to do besides watch the water and enjoy the stillness.

Radozda really is the end of the line. After the town, the road gets bad, ending at a border crossing that hasn’t been open since 1947 (although it is still manned).
