Buffalo curd by the road

Tissa was another overnight stop only, but I’ve heard it’s one of the best options to use as a base for nearby trips to sites, temples, and several national parks. Apparently the town is pretty nice, too. We stayed only to do an evening puja at Katarangama and a very early morning trip to Yala National Park.

(While you’re somewhere in this area, make sure to stop and have buffalo curd and honey at one of the hundreds of roadside stalls – delicious!)

Back to Katarangama or on to Yala National Park.

love the curd and treacle!! which can usually be found in Asian/Indian grocery stores in the US.
