Nalda

Nalda is a village of about 1,000 inhabitants, 17 km from Logrońo.
Nalda is in the valley of Iregua river, between the river and the side of Moncavillo mountain. The landscape is spectacular.

Places of interest

Iglesia Parroquial de la Asunción, built in the 16th century in Renaissance style. The front and the altarpiece are baroque.

Arco de la Villa, old entrance to the fortress. Today, the Arch connects the Plaza de la Fuente with the Iglesia Parroquial de la Asunción.

The Convent of San Francisco was built between 1611 and 1617. It was abandoned in 1836 due to the confiscation of Mendizábal, that put in the market non-productive goods belonging to religious orders. Now it is in ruins.

Chapel of Santa María de Villavieja is baroque, built in the 17th century, in masonry. It is 1 km from the village.
