|  | Puerto de la Cruz is a town in the north coast of Tenerife island. It was called Puerto de la Orotava because it belonged to the municipality of La Orotava until 1772. Since 1808 it is a municipality.
In the decade of 1950 the town became a touristic centre, the most important in the Canary islands.
In Puerto de la Cruz there is a place you shouldn’t miss: the Botanic Garden (see my tip). I had been recommended to visit Loro Park but I had no time. |
