Parque García Sanabria: Flamboyant

Santa Cruz de Tenerife is a friendly and bright city, with many pedestrian streets and a smooth climate.

The place I most liked was the Parque García Sanabria. This park is in the north part of the city. As the hotel was quite near the park, we used to cross it wherever we went. There is a great collection of species common in Santa Cruz, such as the flamboyant, a tree with red flowers.

Castillo de San Juan Bautista

From the park, the Rambla General Franco drives to the Fuerte de Almeida, the seat of the Military Museum, a good place to learn about the history of the city. Then we arrive to the port.

Following the seafront till the opposite end, we will find the Auditorium , the Parque Marítimo César Manrique and San Juan Bautista Castle.

Manrique has done great achivemetns on Tenerife! The botanic park is awsome with all those old exotic trees.

Nice Page - thanks for sharing. We liked this town more than any other of similar size in Tenerife.( PS your tip of the parque seems to have 8 pics. some duplicates . A VT glitch?)
