Zaragoza has a long history of more than 2000 years. On the place of the iberic city Salduie, Romans funded Cesar Augusta that would be called Saraqusta by the Arabs. The city played an important rol in the Independence War (1808-1814).
This year, Zaragoza hosts the World Fair Expo 2008, based on Water and Sustainable development. The Expo has changed the northwest part of the city.
