Lefkas is one of the Ionian Islands. This was our second visit to the Island with the first being just a fleeting visit for a couple of hours when we were on the Ionian Island Cruise from Kefalonia. We stayed in the resort of Nidri which is situated on the East Coast (also spelt Nydri ) It is the main tourist resort on the Island halfway between the town of Lefkada where the Island is connected by a long causeway and a floating bridge and Vassiliki. You arrive at Preveza airport on the mainland and the transfer to Nidri is about 35 minutes. NIdri is surrounded by mountains and the views across the bay to the other Islands of Meganissi and Scorpios are beautiful |

lefkas is great! really beautiful! we went there last year. Stayed in Diodati Villas. http://www.diodati.gr/, it was so worth it!Well, we wanted Nidri at the beginning, but Nikiana was close and the views from were we stayed amazing! | nickandchris Sun Jul 13, 2008 14:07 UTC
Many years since we were on Lefkas but we loved it then. |
