Name of Shop: Macy's
Macy's is the largest department store in the world. It's probably twice the size of Harrods. Spreading from 7th to 8th avenue on 34th street you'll find this huge store. What do they sell?? All the typicall department store stuff. Compared to other large department stores however, Macy's isn't such a very expensive place to do your shopping. It's not cheap either though, but you can find all the products you'd find in any other store. While at a place like Harrods you usually find the more luxurious items. The store consists of 2 builindgs (connected to each other on all floors) and has about 9 floors filled with products. Famous is the Macy's thanksgiving parade. On Thanksgiving a parade with Santa Claus will end here. As from then, Santa is in town and the christmas season kicks off. Though some weeks prior to the parade, the christmas windows and decorations are already in place.

Name of Shop: Toys R Us
The Toys R Us on Broadway (Times Sq.) is definately worth a visit, specially for kids. It's not that the range of Toys is so big, but more of a showcase. The entrance displays a ferriswheel of 3/4 stories high (all in-door) and throughout all departments you find some of these big displays. Like a giant T-Rex, Lego structures etc.
