Cafe Del Mar: Chill Out Cafe

This is a nice place for lunch or a snack, or cocktails with friends. The bar is decorated by some rather overweight mermaids, and has comfy low-slung chairs and relaxing music. You can sit by the beach or next to the bar, but beware of mosquitos around sunset.

Favorite Dish: We liked the sandwiches, the hummous with pita bread dip, and the chicken satay sticks.

Aria: Italian on the Beach

I have had very mixed experiences at Aria. I was a little disappointed on a couple of occasions due to bad service, and one time I ate there my fettucini was all stuck together as if it had been cooked hours ago and simply reheated (as I expect it had).
On another occasion I had the urge to try one of their Calzones so we went back again a few weeks later. It took forever for a waitress to bring our menus, and after we had chosen what we wanted she didn't reappear again for 10 minutes, when she then told us that we could only have pizza as the other things on the menu are not available after a certain time of night. What a shame she didn't tell us that in the beginning! We left, disappointed.
However, the last time we went there, the service was good and the pizza was quite impressive too.
Overall, the food is good but they need to be more consistant given the relatively high prices.

Beach BBQ's: Fresh Seafood

It is hard to walk far along White Beach in the evening without encountering a tantalising display of fresh seafood next to a BBQ grill. You choose what you want (fish, prawns, squid, lobster...) and they'll cook it for you on the spot. You can also buy your own seafood from the market and arrange for one of the BBQ stands to cook it for you.
My favourite of these grills was at Attica restaurant near boat station 2.
