It was a rather strange occurence. One would expect gray skies and rain in London where I made my first stop. Surprisingly, it was clear and sunny throughout the 4 days I was there, right up to Scotland too.
Then when I stepped into Paris, it rained :-( Hence my photos have this gray tinge to it ...
Come rain or shine, Paris is very pleasing to the eyes. Even the French citizens may seem a little friendly if you're armed with a phrasebook, a sprinkling of basic French words (merci, s'il vous plait, pardonnez-moi would suffice nicely) and a great big smile. |

Of grandeur and rich culture From romance to opulence style, Paris is steeped in history. Visit Chateau Versailles for some serious gawking of Louis XIV's grand and somewhat over the top gilded designs and masterpieces.
Such a stark contrast with today's moden contemporary, zen like decor favoured by most people. | | |
