Rolling mountains and cool fresh air

by Restless-in-kl - last update: Jul 31, 2007

Weekend escapade

Mountains
This is where I would escape to when I need a dose of very fresh air (city air is bad for you) and some green (not enough trees in KL).
Wild orchids

Wild flora

These orchids were shot at Mossy Forest which is a really cool, beautiful place.

If you want to bring home some orchids, there is an old uncle who sells gorgeous orchid plants at very reasonable prices (definitely cheaper than KL). His stall is located just after Equatorial Hotel in Brinchang. He's nice and will even give you tips on how to care for your orchids as well as giving me some baby orchid plants as freebies!
Boh tea plantation

Take a stroll and have afternoon tea

The Boh tea plantation is a lovely place to go for walks and have tea with fresh strawberries.

During my most recent visit to Cameron Highlands in Jul 2007, I paid a visit to the Boh Plantation in Sungai Palas. I was very impressed by the beautiful platform that they have built overlooking the tea plantation. It's a really nice place to enjoy a cup of steaming hot tea, a piece of cake and sit back to enjoy the cool breeze and view.
