"Historical Dubrovnik" a Dubrovnik Travel Page by Obak81

My girlfriend and I visited Dubrovnik in the summer of 2005. We stayed here for 8 days staying at a campground about 15 km from the old city. Although our campground was a bit outside the Old town it was located in the Dubrovnik riviera area, in Orasac.
Dubrovnik was a harmonic mixture of old and new. The old city surrounded by thick walls, and the new suburbs been created along the sea north and especially south of Dubrovnik.
Signs of the civil war, at the time of our trip, being only a decade away seemed to have been erased from the city, and the only place we encountered it was in the fotomuseum for war pictures (see tip).
