My beloved Iran

by hydronetta - last update: Aug 22, 2007

One of my best trips

Imam Square, Esfahan
There are times when completing a trip you have a big enthusiasm that everything you saw exceeded your expectations. And it's at these times that a part of heart is left back...So it was my case for Iran!
Iran was an apocalypse: not only easy to travel around and safe, but also full of contrasts in landscape, monuments ranging some thousands years but most of all NICE people.
I planned to visit Iran when iranian nuclear programme was an issue in UN. There were tensions and many people thought it was risky for me to visit this area. Some others thougt that Iran is what you see from TV: fundamentalist crowds shouting against the west. I fully congratulate myself for closing my ears and laughing at them. Iran and its people are much much better than what their MM image deserves to be!

Did you buy all domestic air tickets in Greece? I may have trouble doing it as no Iran air office and sales agent in my country for Iran air.
