Where I was grown up

Piraeus, is considered for historical reasons a separate city (as it was in ancient times), but in fact nowadays it belongs to greater Athens (though a different municipality)
Piraeus is the biggest and busiest port in Greece. A residential town mainly with very little for a traveller to discover but nevertheless an important stopover if you intend to take boats to any island destination.
Piraeus is where I was grown up, went to school and where my parents and my sister with her family still live.

Strange to find 2 completely opposite tips for the same place here. Ach well have booked this for my stopover on the way to Santorini for Euromeet and they have been really helpful with email directions etc. even tho' I am only stopping 1 night.
