Hi to all VTers and fellow travellers

Being a member of the wonderful VT family, I can't say how helpful this site has been for planning my trips. This of course is due to the endless enthusiasm of the members to share their experiences and give us helpful tips and advices. This only gives us a pleasure to make new friends worldwide!
I hope my contribution is helpful as well, as I hope I can go on writing tips(despite being lazy!!) about the places I have visited so far. My intention is apart from my impressions on the various sights I have visited, to give practical information on accommodation, food and transportation as these determine a lot the success of an indepedenlty planned trip.
Ratings and comments from other VTers are a rewardning feedback for me to keep on working on my travel pages.

About my home island ...and few words about me

My name is Panagiotis. I used to live and work for 8 years as paediatrician on the small picturesque island of Hydra not far from the Greek capital city Athens. Now I start a new career and life in Athens (time will tell if I should regret it or not).
Hydra is the place where I was born and raised until my early childhood. My parental home is at Kaminia, a quiet residential area just a 15 minutes walk from the main port of Hydra. Nice views and serenity is the big advantage of living in a vehicle free island like Hydra.
I spend my free time listening to music, watching films, reading, capturing images with my digital camera and spending endless time on internet planning my future trips...which I try my best to fullfill.
