Galeria Kaufhof is a nationwide German department store.
They were founded in something like 1846 and have stores in all major cities throughout Germany.
The proper name of the chain is "Kaufhof Warenmarkt AG". Fairly recently, 1980's, they adopted the "Galeria" prefix.
Nowadays they are known coloquially as either Galeria, or Kaufhof, or Galeria Kaufhof.
There are four stores in Munich. Two in the city center at Marienplatz & Karlsplatz_Stachus, one in Rotkreuzplatz, and one out at OEZ_Olympia_Shopping_Center
What To Buy: They stock all the goods that you'd expect of department stores. I.e. clothing, electricals, household, games, groceries, and so on.
