Guellala, a Djerban village famous for its original potteries "les Dieux de l'Argile
The town got its name, meaning “strange death,” from the legend in which a stone fell on a tent there, instantly killing a girl inside. Although crushed, her face contained a smile. Here, you can find tiles as well as glazed and unglazed pottery with the incised lace-like designs characteristic of the local pieces.
