Things To Do: Jerash Roman Ruins

The Jerash Roman Ruins are quite impressive and a good few hours can be spent here viewing the Collonade, amphitheatres, temples, churches, bath house ruins, etc. There is also a small archaeological museum open from Sat -Thurs from 8.30am-5pm (6pm in summer).

Things To Do: Movenpick Dead Sea Resort

We visited the Movenpick Resort for a day to float in the Dead Sea (reading the newspaper of course!) and apply the mud. Entrance costs around £20 pp and although expensive, it is a nice way to spend the day as you can use the resort facilities such as the beach, pool and most importantly, the showers.

Things To Do: Mount Nebo

|
Mount Nebo is close to the final resting place of Moses and offers spectacular views of the Holy Land. There is a small museum and church too.

Things To Do: Hammamat Ma'in Thermal Springs

We stopped at Hammamat Ma'in on our way to Kerak Castle to soak in the thermal pools of varying temperatures. Entrance fee applies. Changing facilities are basic to say the least, so come prepared in your bathing suit under your clothes.

On our way to Petra we stopped at Kerak Castle which offers great views of the surrounding area and is interesting to walk around. There is a small museum too. Entrance fee applies.
