I have visited Abu Dhabi 2 or 3 times during my time living in the Middle East and (nearly) went to live there due to my husband's job, but in the end we chose to live in Dubai instead!
This is not to say that Abu Dhabi does not have it's merits. It has a wide range of restaurants to eat in, many shopping possibilities, a nice corniche to walk along, some good hotels - the most impressive being the grand Emirates Palace! and several beach clubs.
There is a Heritage Village, a fort, a good library, a fish market, dhow building yard and many other sights for the visitor to see. |
