You are picked up in a 4WD vehicle and taken to the sand dunes where you are taken on a hair raising ride complete with wheel spins and turns! There are photo stops to admire the sunset before you are driven to the desert camp for a buffet meal, complete with belly dancer, camel rides and henna tattoo painting. It was great fun!

Visit the ice bar for the chance to dress up in a parka and gloves and freeze to death while consuming a hot or cold drink in unique surroundings. No alcohol served but a chance to take lots of photos and admire the ice sculptures. Entrance fee is 60 dirhams per person which includes 1 hot or cold drink. There is a video in the entrance showing how the ice bar is made.

Take the Big Bus around Dubai to see all the main sights on the open top buses with live commentary. There are 2 routes on the tour and the Dubai Museum entrance fee, a walking tour of the souq area and a dhow cruise on the Creek are included. The cost is 175 dirhams pp and the ticket lasts 24 hrs, although the museum, walking tour and dhow cruise can be done on a different days.

Take a tour of the mosque on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 10am. Learn about Islam and ask questions too. Women - dress modestly, covering head, arms and legs. Abayas and head coverings can be loned to women though on arrival. Small entrance fee (approx. 20 dirhams). Can get crowded.

Best malls to visit are Mall of the Emirates and Ibn Battuta Mall - Wafi is nice for its glass roof and to visit Wafi Gourmet for food items.
