"Dubai" a Dubai Travel Page by chizz

My husband and I first came to Dubai around 5 years ago as part of a trip to Thailand and Hong Kong. We stayed at Golden Sands and did all the usual touristy sights and fell in love with the place. I remember visiting the Jumeirah Beach Hotel and wishing I was staying there...I vowed I would on my next visit!!
2 years later my husband was working in Kuwait so we met up in Dubai and as I hadn't seen him in 3 months we thought we'd stay somewhere nice..Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The trip was great, the hotel excellent and we saw a few sights that we'd missed on our first trip.
Subsequent visits ocurred when I accompanied my husband to work in Al Ain for 6 weeks and Dubai became our place of choice on the weekends.
Finally, this time we arrived in July, 2007 as my husband had found a new job here. We aim to be here for at least 4 years but who knows.....???
The city has changed quite a bit over the last few years, namely as the amount of building projects has sky rocketed so the landscape is constantly changing and the Burj Dubai is getting ever taller!! The monorail system is well under construction as well as many new and exciting projects - new hotels, housing projects, malls and airport expansions. Who knows what the city will look like in another 5/10/15 years?

7. Hop on Hop off Tour bus

9. Drinks at Sky Lounge, Burj al Arab
10. Sunbathe - of course!
