Hikkaduwa

Hikkaduwa was the last stop on our tour of Sri Lanka. We stayed at Cinnamon Gardens Hotel which was along the main road and backed directly on to the beach. The hotel was around a 15-20 minute walk into the town, where the bars, shops and restaurants are located. Hikkaduwa is quite a laid back town with no tourist sights as such to see, unless you drove down the road to Galle and the other nearby beach resorts. Tourism here stays mostly for relaxation and the chance to sun oneself on the empty beaches.
