  • If you can afford it, if you like luxury, or if your boss accepts to pay for it, I recommend this out-of –the norms place; from the rooms (greater than my Paris apartment, 70 sq metres at least!) to the pool (half a square km, with several basins, seawater, sand beach(yes!)waterfalls, etc), going through the corridors, ballrooms, restaurants, everything is oversized here, with marble, precious wood, lots of (friendly) staff, luxury shops arcade, 18 holes (design Jack Niklaus) golf. . . everything! This hotel has been build by Jeffry, the brother (now persona non grata in Brunei) of the Sultan, investing his money in a pharaonic project. Located on sea side at Jerudong, 15 mn driving from town, a real luxury resort, where you almost can feel a sultan for one day (except for the harem, of course, . . . but you can give me a tip . . . . . for the harem!!).
    250 US$ to 10000US$

Unique Qualities: everything is oversized !

  • Located at walking distance from city centre; good comfort, has a good restaurant, friendly staff. Exactly what a business visitor needs for a few days; a bit Spartan rooms, but who cares for a few days?

Unique Qualities: Good breakfast and very kind staff.
Allow to B Y O (bring your own (drink, of course! )) at night for dinner .

I enjoyed reading this page, Hermann. The waterfall and forest are really pretty. And those mosques- VERY impressive, in keeping with the style of the Sultan! Great pictures. I will return here anon to finish my tour.

Yep - the Sultan is known for having bought and sold a good portion of Beverly and cruising about in his exotic cars with the license plate "Sultan." Ciao, Carol Ohhh, I did find Pleny the Elder.....
