Gosforth Travel Guide: 11 reviews and 17 photos
While it’s not a tourist destination, it has a bit of history, and my General tips describe some of the reminders of the past that can still be seen on and around the High Street.
If you’re visiting Newcastle, do consider taking the bus a few miles north to spend an hour or two in this more peaceful residential area, where you'll also find some pretty good restaurants.

I guess that this is just one of those hidden gem destination. I like it very much. As the settlement in Gosforth goes back to the 12th century it has a beautiful historical heritage. Thank you for sharing and the beautiful pictures.
Great tips. Thanks for sharing:-)!
Your mum in law lives in a very charming little town. Nice restaurant tips.
Nice to find some interesting places close to home but of course it's best to find some nice bites. Hope Chris doesn't imagine a molar being filled when digging into some pasta dish. ;)
Sarah, fabulous new page aboput this English gem. I must admit that I haven't even heard of this place befor.
What a loverly suburb your second hometown is! I love these sepia photos and especially the sign of the old Newcastle tram corporation. Oh wow, a Sardegna restaurant!! Try mirto after your next meal there!
I love and appreciate the places that hold onto their history. Excellent page Sarah!
Hello, Sarah! Thanks for your great page! I wish I could travel to the amazing UK some day...
Nice restaurant tips from your home from home. By coincidence I had occasion just last night to defend English restaurants, since Germans typically believe you can't get a good meal in England.
