  Wonderfully helpful page, Sarah! In the midst of research our trip to Sicily (next month!) and your insights have proven invaluable as they solidified much of my thoughts based on my readings. It looks like you visited many of the same places we hope to visit so I was quite pleased with the coincidence. As usual, I appreciate your writing and details. Nice pages and photos! ~Brenda

    Yes, we will be staying in Taormina for two days before heading to the west side - we want to explore Mt. Etna (and we are flying in/out of Catania). I really wish we had more time to explore; a week is not going to be enough!

  Nice page. We have been in Sicily twice, though only to Palermo once. It seems to have some great architecture but I was sorry we didn't find the people very friendly -- especially since a set of my grandparents were from Sicily.

  I'm always in favour of travelling for a reason, and following Newcastle United in Europe has surely taken you to some fine places you might otherwise not have visited. (With me it tends to be an opera house or an innovative bicycle system that lures me.)

  Beautiful cathedrals,cobbled streets, arched passageways and narrow lanes lined with shops…… sounds wonderful. I love your beaut pics & descriptive tips.

  Enjoyed your Palermo pages - the food, the cathedrals, the ice cream - and thankful for that laundry mistake! The consequences must had been devastating! :-)
