I really had not planned on going to Turkey. I had dreams of exploring ancient pyramids and floating down the Nile while sipping honeyed wine from crystal glasses. But a good friend of mine insisted on Turkey...and I'm glad she did. One of the best vacations I've ever had. The food is fresh, healthy, and simple; the people are friendly and fun loving; and the weather - warm welcoming. We only made it to Istanbul, Izmur, and Ephesus, but another trek to Turkey is definitely on my list of "must do's" |
