Greenwich is a major tourist destination in London due to its Royal Observatory, from where 'time' is taken, and its Royal Navy connections.

Its a fairly easy place to walk around as all its main sites of interest are concentrated in a fairly small area.

Just a coupla of ideas... Hotels (1)

As I live locally I've never stayed in either, but I'd rather stay in Greenwich then in Central London. Both are next... more travel advice

This pub/hotel is very central...and has a huge dining room for both lunch & supper. more travel advice

Hi! i spent one of the most beautiful days of my life walking around greenwich!i agree ,there are good pubs ....i arrived as many tourists by ferry from tower bridge,and i suggest it to everyone.hope to be back soon

Didn't realize there were so many pubs in Greenwich. Love the history of the place. Working on my posh accent so I can be a walking guide.

Enjoyed reading your insights on Greenwich. I especially liked the nightlife with all the Pubs. Your photos certainly add to the flavor of the area.

I have that exact Greenwich photo but it's November and completely shrouded in fog.
