Llegamos a San Petersburgo por la mañana muy temprano , en un autobús desde Tallin y nos lanzamos a descubrir la ciudad que tanto habíamos pensado en ella . Desde hace muchos años teníamos la ilusión de conocer SP . Nos habían asustado diciendo que había que conocerla con guía , pero nosotros fuimos por nuestra cuenta , excepto la visita a los palacios de Catalina la Grande y de Pavlovski , y fue un acierto pues SP es una ciudad Grande , pero uno se puede mover en Metro , autobús y andando sin ningún problema , además la gente es muy amable y te ayudan , así que te recomiendo que te compres una buena guía y que lo hagas por tu cuenta
Fuimos en primavera durante las noches blancas , cuando se abren los puentes y todos los canales son navegables y acabamos impresionados por las maravillas que tiene la ciudad . Desde luego los Romanov sabían muy bien lo que querían y en los años posteriores se ha sabido mantener y restaurar las grandes obras y edificios que heredaron a pesar de todos los avatares políticos de su historia .
Acabarás cansado , pero feliz de haber conocido una ciudad como San Petersburgo

We were in spring during the White Nights, when the bridges are open and all channels are navigable and we were absolutely impressed by the wonders of the city. It is clear that the Romanov knew very well what they wanted and in later years they have been able to maintain and restore the great works and buildings inherited despite all the political vicissitudes of their history.
