just a bit of history... Con la restaurazione Catanzaro fů rioccupata dai Borboni, ma nel periodo dal 1821 al 1860 partecipň attivamente ai moti risorgimentali. Catanzaro was conquered by Normans in XI century, then it was dominated Aragoneses. His economy flowered up with the development of art and silk. In XVI century resisted to French's attack and with Charles V became the most important city of Calabria. but when Napoleon it lost all of these advantages. After the restoration Catanzaro was taken up by Borbons, but between 1821 and 1860 joined up with vivacity the risorgimental risings. |
