Florence is the destination of choice, if shopping is a priority. Shopping is very good in Florence, especially the open air market near the center of town. There are 4 train stations to Florence, so make sure you get off the right one! or else it would be quite a walk. Also, during one of my excursions with cal, i visited the GE plant in Florence which produces Gas turbine engines. Florence is only just over an hour train ride from Pisa making it a wonderful day trip. |
