| waterwheels seen from the park |
As much as I had enjoyed visiting Palmyra, immediately before continuing to Hamah, travelling through the desert left my English eyes feeling hungry to see something green and the sight of all the greenery, as the bus approached Hamah, was a relief to them! As we got closer and closer to the river, the plants grew more vigorously in brighter shades of green and many people were having picnics and walking round the parks alongside the water, obviously enjoying it as much as I was. |
