Getting TO/AROUND: This bus takes off from the Abu Dhabi Bus station every 30 minutes and heads towards Dubai. These are mini-buses that can hold up to 25 people. They are air conditioned and quite comfortable. My 1 and a half hour trip was comfortable, and the driving was safe. There are two benches up front that are reserved for women only...so that you don't feel uncomfortable sitting next to a strange man the whole way. Personally, I sat down on a single bench, closed down the curtains, listened to my ipod and read a book...it felt like it took 10 minutes to get to Dubai, and more specifically to where I wanted to get down on Sheikh Zayed Rd.

Note that, you can either ask the bus driver to drop you off on the way to his final stop (if your stop happens to be on his way), OR you can choose to get down at the final stop.
