Getting TO/AROUND: If you're staying in Paris for a week or more...even if you are staying there for less than a week but will be using a lot of the metro..then the Carte Orange will be great for you. You get to choose the time you want it for, a week or a month, and the zones (of Paris) that you would need it for. Anyone can purchase this ticket from Paris. However, you must have a passport sized photo to attach to the pass. The weekly pass is only valid from Monday to Sunday...So, if you arrive on a Wednesday, you'd want to weigh your options (it will only be valid up to Sunday of that week). The Carte Orange pass will provide you with unlimited rides on the RATP. In 2004, the price of a weekly zone (1-2 ) Carte Orange was for 14.5 euros.
