Spencer's Gorge & Webster Falls

Natural beauty so close to the city

My favorite trees
For the last 2 years my friends and I have gone on an autumn hike at Spencer's Gorge to see the wonderful colours and to just relax. It's a wonderful piece of land just an hour west of the city of Toronto that's got various trails varying in the degree of difficulty. It's got some great spots for viewing, and eating your lunch. It's a wonderful place to leave all your stress behind and remind yourself about the big picture. To see all the beautiful nature surrounding you, it reminds you that all the things you are stressing about are just so little and not worth your energy.

Things to remember......

The hike can be as easy or as hard as you want it to....A few things you should remember are a good pair of hiking shoes with good treads. Specially in the autumn, the leaves beautifully carpet the paths but make it really slippery. Bring some light snacks with you for when you stop and rest, we usually hike for 3 or 4 hours and like to stop and snack at some of the viewing spots. Lots and lots of water! A sense of adventure!!!! and a digital camera so you can take some of that goodness back home with you!
I'm putting more pictures up in my album section of my home page so if you'd like to see more pictures, flip over to the albums!

So beautiful at this time of year when the leaves are going through change. I love waterfalls.
