The owners do not speak English but the place is really clean, the rooms are big and the hotels is located in a quiet area, hot water always available, price around 400 SOM for a double. No breakfast included but 300 meters from the hotel there is the Instanbul Pastanesi Caf? with a delicious array of Turkish pastries, absolutely mouthwatering and huge!!! Excellent Black Tea..adress: Navoi Street near the big furniture shop

This hotel is a very special place indeed, it is a typical Kyrghyz hotel, the rooms are furnished with typical Kyrghyz furniture, low beds, rugs on the floor and on the walls, trunks, see the pics I have taken, the food is really delicious and abundant, you get typical Kyrghyz food, meat suops, fresh bread every day and mare milk... They also sell beautiful handicraft. The staff will also assist you in case you wish to go on tour, either on foot or on horseback , of the mountains around, you can vist a jailoo, a summer pasture usually located above 2.500 mt where the cattles are taken to graze, and sleep in yurts. The hotel has a conference hall and a permant exhibition on Kyrghyz crafts, history and traditions

The hostel is a little bit messy but clean, the house is quite ramshackle but it is okay for a short stay, I mean it does maybe look good but it is clean and it has everything you need. There three rooms with bunks, dorma re separated women and men, the bathroom is small, fixtures a little rusty...but breakfast is abundant,excellent...all this for just 5-10 dollars...you will find plenty of people with whom you can swap travel stories about the silk road trip. They have a lovely siamese cat with blue eyes, very soft and cuddly, she miaows gently and is very tender...at night she might jump on your bed and purr..so tell the owner if are allergic and close the door well...the cat name is....Nicole Kidman....!!!
