Dragons and pastry shops Krakow is beautiful, with barroc buildings intact from before the war, and it is very touristic, but pleasant.
The castle is up on the outskirts of town, but allk is walking distance. They have a den where a dragon is supposed to have lived--it's fascinating for little kids to go down to. Outside of the castle they have many shops with small toys, a place that makes a postcard with your picture inserted and not too far are the milk bars that sell inexpensive Polish food like Piergogis ( pankaes ) stuffed with cheese and blueberries or potatoe, and berry and yoghurt-based drinks.
The best about Krakow are the pastry shops on the outskirts. I bought this whipped cream layered cake that had vanilla cream in the bottom and coffee-flavored mousse on top, I think there was barely any doe, and I swear they put alcohol in it because I felt a bit tipsy after eating it.
They also have good inexpensive dentists. It's nice and friendly, but after a few days I got a big bored. Oh, and they have the original Schindler's list factory. Polish people are heartry and helpful, and they don't dress down. |
