Even though Ý could only spend one day and night in Dalyan--time to go home--Ý loved it and even saw one turtle. Not the huge ones becausse Ý didn't go to the nesting place, but this is a place with a river flowing in front of the Lykian tombs in the rocks, and plenty of nature to roam around. Ýn the evening Ý loved to just sit at the lake or river and chat with other travelers.

There are shops and restaurant on the main street, but everybody is pretty laid back, even the inexpensive pensions are right at the river with beautiful views. This si a place to RELAX. No discos--just bars. "the last paradise" it was called in a guidebook a travelor from England said. But the daily party boat tours from Marmaris are already disrupting that impression during the day.
