Melbourne - A City of Colours and Excitement! Set around the shores of Port Philip Bay, Melbourne is a city filled with colours and excitement. Whatever you are looking for, it's there, right at the heart of Melbourne! This sophisticated and lively city brings you a myraid of fun for you to choose - shopping, dining, sports, adventures and much more.
Martin and I chose Melbourne as our destination for our honeymoon. We spent about 6 days in this cosmopolitan city exploring the sights and sounds of this much talkabout Victorian city. It is also a great starting point to discover what the state of Victoria can offer. It is also during this period when we experienced the two extreme temperatures - 42 degrees celsius at Great Ocean Road and below 20 degrees celsius at Phillip Island!
So, do read more about our visit to Melbourne and feel free to give me your comments! |
| At the start of the Great Ocean Road... |
| | For those who are adventurous... Victoria offers the adventurous individuals who love to explore hidden surprises in this state. During our stay, we toured along the Great Ocean Road and at the same time, went Koala spotting in the nature, explored a temperate rainforest. We also went gold-panning at Sovereign Hill (Ballarat) to have the gold-rush experience and not forgetting to fight the arctic cold to watch the fairy penguins at Phillip Island. And all this within a week in Melbourne! |
... and for those who just want to chill out... Of course, Melbourne is not just about adventures. For those who just want to chill out or simply relax, Melbourne also much more to offer. Our Singaporean friends who are now working in Melbourne took us on a day trip to Mornington Peninsular where we experienced a blissful time visiting vineyards and a strawberry farm. We also had a relaxing time enjoying what the local could offer at a local cafe where we could enjoy tasty food in its garden. More sights behold at Apollo Bay and Phillip Island. It's not just sheer excitement but also opportunities to have a relaxing time in the serenity of this tranquil state. | | | Wine tasting at a vineyard on Philip Island |
