A Backpacker's Love Story with North Vietnam | Falling in love with Vietnam |
Following my solo trip in Ho Chi Minh City, South Vietnam, I fell in love with Vietnam, a country filled with timeless beauty and charm. Hence, I decided to put on my backpack again and began my solo adventure in this beautiful country by moving up to North Vietnam, specifically, its capital, Hanoi, which is also known by the local as the "City of Soaring Dragon". |
| Hang Ma, or also known as the "Wedding Street" |
| | Hanoi – City of Soaring Dragon Lonely Planet describes Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, as a "city of timeless grace, a grand old dame of Asia who is ageing better than most of her contemporaries". Today, Hanoi is a centre with a blend of Parisian grace and Asian pace.
The heart of Hanoi is built around the Hoan Kiem Lake. Just north of this lake is the Old Quarter, where all the actions in the city take place. To experience the hustle and bustle of a local's lifestyle, Old Quarter is also the place where I stayed during my visit in Hanoi.

An Adventure to be Continued in Near Future Hanoi! This is a city filled with mystical charm and grace and am I glad to take my adventure, as a backpacker, up the North Vietnam. Though I was there for only six days, I felt that it was not enough. There are still many other places for exploration beyond Hanoi and its surroundings and definitely, I will be back again in near future to complete my adventure in North Vietnam. | | |
